For me, everything all around us speaks of the wonder, the beauty and the glory of our creator. Everything he created reflects in small and large ways something of his awesome character. And even the possibility of our making beautiful, artistically pleasing things is just a reflection of the one who originally created absolutely everything.

The joy of it all is that he cares for and cares about us; added to that, he desires, even longs to have a deeply satisfying and experiential relationship with us. All of his creation is an extravagant expression of his love for us.

These watercolor paintings are a simple attempt to represent a small part of that beauty and love. An attempt to direct our attention to “whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, excellent, and worthy of praise (Philippians 4).
